"Faith Community is not your typical Lutheran Church!” We hear that a lot!  One of our core values is to be  “Worship-Centered with a blend of the old and the new”, and we are excited about our unique style of worship. Within a few minutes, a first-time visitor will notice that our worship team leads us in a “blend” of traditional Lutheran hymns and music from popular Christian artists you may hear played on K-LOVE, the Christian radio station, nestled within the structure of traditional Lutheran worship.

 

 

Another of our core values is  to be a “Bible-Centered Church".  When it comes to our scripture readings and our sermons, worshipers are encouraged to follow along with their pew bibles as we “dig together” into God’s Word.  As a “Prayer-Centered Church”, our prayer time will also stand out to first-time visitors.  During the prayers the pastors will begin with prayer petitions, but then worshipers are encouraged to openly share their own. It is so inspiring to hear faithful prayers being lifted from worshipers of all ages, 3 to 93.

 

You will find that our church is crawling with kids, young families & people of all ages, and we love it that way!  We believe that modeling worship for our children is extremely important, so you’ll notice lots of kids “crawling” all over the place.   As evidence of our youth ministry growth, this summer we have over 70 high schoolers heading to workcamp for their summer mission trip to serve in poverty-stricken areas.

Supporting our core value of being “Visitor-Friendly", we frequently hear from those visiting, “this is such a welcoming church!”  We encourage our worshipers to get involved!  We welcome new faces and new ideas in all of the many ministries hear at Faith!

Faith Community is now  the 4th largest ELCA congregation in worship attendance in the Rocky Mountain Synod with three weekend services during the summer: 5:30 Saturday Evening Service, 8:00 and 11:00 on Sunday mornings. We support LutheranCORE and the WordAlone Network.  Since 1989, weekly worship attendance has gone from 90 to over 530 and we can hardly wait to see what God has in store next!
